Critical-Web launched (finally) ...
... the blog, at least. Let me start by telling you who I am.
My name is Francois Levesque, and I'm a Coldfusion programmer currently working for a telecomm company up here in the cold, cold north (Canada). Coldfusion has been my language of choice for the last 4 years, and I see no reason in the foreseeable (and not so foreseeable future) to switch to anything else (why whould I?).
I have tons of ideas for this site, and honestly, I'm not sure where to start from. As a sneak peek, here's a couple for my most loyal readers:
(In no particular order)
- Family/social networking interface, à la Facebook;
- Open-source forum software (in Coldfusion, of course!);
- LAN parties management, bundled in a nice web interface;
- And much, much more!
I'll try and muse a little more on these projects in the coming days. As much as I love money, I don't believe in self-proclaimed programming gods. The software presented on this site will be completely open-source, except if explicitly stated otherwise (i.e. a project for a client, who would've kindly allowed me to demonstrate the software's aspects on here).
I think that's all for tonight. I'm not going to promise any update timetables, but I will promise to post often. Be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed to reap all the benefits from this site!
That's the way the cookie crumbles
