Apparently It's Also Called Hogmanay

Well what do you know, another year has come and gone. If you're wondering about Hogmanay, it seems I'm following a couple of Scots on Twitter and that's their name for the last day of the year. I hope 2008 was everything you expected from it, and that 2009 will be even better for all of you.

Personally, I'm pretty happy with the way 2008 turned out. There are a couple of things I feel I should improve on and, although I don't like to linger on the bad side of things, I see it as a way to better myself.

I've been keeping this blog for a little over a year now. Everytime I've seriously kept it updated I felt happy. I had a commitment to it's content and to my readers, and I was happy to share what little I knew with the world. Then came periods of ... inactivity ..., I guess you could call them. For all sorts of reasons I didn't, or barely, update this blog. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even work on my personal projects.

Looking back I now see that the problem isn't me not liking what I do, it's just not making time for it. I tend to just run into things, head down, without looking around or planning how long I'm going to do it. If there was one thing to change for 2009, that's what I think I should work on. I might try and get a schedule up, so I know when to do things. I mean, if you can schedule taking vitamins, why not do the big, time-consuming stuff too (I kid, Ben! Please don't hurt me!)?

Anyways, thanks for sticking around. I hope we'll be seeing more of each other in 2009!
